A case with a raised lip and a screen protector you actually leave on will prevent more repairs than any setting.
Most cracked screens we see were in a pocket with keys, or on a table edge. A case that stands proud of the glass helps. So does not sitting on the phone.
If the glass is already damaged, a protector will not fix the picture. iPhone repair and Samsung repair both start with the exact model.
Ask about the model, battery behaviour, previous repairs and whether the account lock is clear — not just the cosmetic grade.
