What to do after dropping your phone

Power it on, check the picture and touch, and stop pressing cracked glass back into place.

If the phone still works, back it up before the crack spreads. Do not flex the glass. A case or tape keeps fragments off your hand until you can bring it in.

What we need to know

Does the image still look normal? Does touch fail in one area? Did it land face down or on a corner? Those answers tell us whether this is glass, the display, or both.
